Access to Information - a policy
Being one of UNDP's major development project's presently ongoing in the area of media access and good governance, the CTA of our Media Development Project was invited to take part in a workshop in UNDP's "Oslo Governance Centre" in Norway November 21-22.
The objective of the workshop was to develop a Policy Guidance Note for UNDP worldwide, facilitating the effective including of communication and information strategies in UNDP projects in general, and in projects in the area of Governance in particular.
The workshop had the participation of representatives from the five countries from where the selected exemplary cases had been taken, as well as UNDP policy advisers from New York and Governance Centre staff.
It is hoped that the Policy Guidance Note will be ready in 2003/4.
